- several countries are considering plans to unwind their liquidity/credit stimulus
- inflation fears had a lot of time to be already priced in the current gold value
- worst times appear to be over, so gold demand as a safety haven is no more strong
- there are other commodities/asset classes which have underperformed gold during the past few quarters and are likely to attract now more investment demand than gold.
- gold as an investment class gained too much attention recently - this is usually signaling a point of reversal </description>
